This weather app is not affiliated with NOAA or the National Weather Service. Products provided by NOAA are in the public domain, and this app's use of those products is compliant with NOAA/NWS terms of use.

The app provides forecasts, animated radar, hourly forecast, and current conditions, all in an intuitive and easy-to-use interface. It offers accurate and timely information for your exact location.

The app uses NOAA point forecasts from your GPS location for the most localized weather information available. Point forecasts are particularly useful for outdoor activities such as climbing, hiking, skiing, where weather from a nearby city may not be accurate enough.

The app can determine the most accurate location using GPS on your phone. If GPS isn't available, it will utilize nearby cell towers and Wi-Fi networks. You can also enter a location manually.

Please note that this app only provides highly localized forecasting and is available only in the US. It uses point forecasts from the National Weather Service (NOAA/NWS).

Severe weather will be displayed at the top of the forecast if there are any alerts. However, please note that this app does not support severe weather alerts or notifications. For severe weather alerts, NOAA provides this service directly through cell carriers.

The app also offers several differently sized widgets that can be placed on your homescreen to provide basic weather information without opening the app.

Forecast discussion is available through the menu button.

Permissions:

• Location: This app requires your location to provide you with the most accurate weather. You can still add manual locations if you prefer.
• Photos/Media/Files: This permission is required by Google Maps to cache map tiles for faster loading. It doesn't mean the app is accessing your photos or media. Contact me if you have further questions about this.

The following are the non-simplified permissions listed in the Android manifest:

1. android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION" (location access listed above)
2. android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE" (check for network connection)
3. android.permission.INTERNET" (download weather)
4. android.permission.VIBRATE" (for zoom feedback on old radar)
5. android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE" (this is Photos/Media/Files listed above)
6. com.google.android.providers.gsf.permission.READ_GSERVICES" (required by Google Maps)
